Mosaic feature garden

A really interest project in Notting Hill, where the client made his house smaller to create space for this small, thin garden. The kitchen had one wall of glass doors that looked onto this garden all year round so it had to be something simple that looked good throughout the seasons.

The client wanted a water feature, and we commissioned a mosaic artist - Martin Cheek - to create this beautiful fish design which also doubled as a water feature. I designed raised beds which doubled as seating in this small space. A simple Japanese Acer tree is a feature at one end, while bamboo were planted in front of wall-mounted mirrors to add depth to the garden.
